Fraud Operations Manager Job Description

The Fraud Operations Manager role is responsible for leading the operations business, driving a high-performance and engaged culture, delivering on the fraud strategy, and providing advice on fraud-related risks to the organization.

  • This includes supporting the Head of Fraud in developing and implementing effective strategies to minimize harm to customers and the organization resulting from fraud and scam events.
  • Providing expert advice to internal stakeholders regarding fraud risk and vulnerabilities.
  • Execution of team resourcing, development, and engagement within a corporate framework.
  • Supervision of the operations team performance and compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as upcoming external regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Minimizing harm to customers and the organization resulting from fraud and scam events.
  • Providing advice to internal stakeholders regarding fraud risk and vulnerabilities.
  • Execution of team resourcing, development, and engagement within a corporate framework.
  • Supervision of the operations team performance and compliance.
  • Generation of insights and trends reporting.
  • Compliance with SLAs and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Support in assessing and managing material and escalated fraud events.
  • Expansion of fraud monitoring and assessment capabilities into new products and typologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience in an operations business.
  • Demonstrated expertise in fraud and scams.
  • Fraud or financial crime related qualifications are highly regarded but not essential.
