Casual Sessional Teacher - Computing Technologies
RMIT University is seeking passionate and experienced casual sessional teachers to join our team in the School of Computing Technologies. As a casual sessional teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach and mark courses in our Bootcamp and Studios programs, working with students to develop their skills in programming, web development, and other areas of computing.
About the Role:
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about teaching and have experience in computer science, cloud and security, data science, and artificial intelligence. You will be responsible for preparing and delivering teaching and/or marking, working in a collaborative bootcamp and studio environment. You will also be required to grade student assessment and provide feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and/or mark courses in our Bootcamp and Studios programs
- Prepare and deliver teaching materials and assessments
- Grade student assessment and provide feedback
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Use a variety of tools such as GitHub and Trello
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of Bachelor (Honours)
- Evidence of teaching ability and the capacity to engage students in an enthusiastic, concise, engaging and informative manner
- Demonstrable ability to teach in a collaborative bootcamp and studio environment
- Demonstrable ability to grade student assessment and provide feedback
- Demonstrable knowledge of requisite content, research, and writing skills for course/s taught within the School of Computing Technologies programs
- Effective interpersonal skills, including both written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrable ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Prior experience in teaching or marking in computer science, cloud and security, data science and artificial intelligence related areas
- Experience in using a variety of tools such as GitHub and Trello
