Staff Specialist

Job Description:

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing clinical support and guidance to staff and other healthcare workers in relation to the management of HIV, sexually transmitted infections, and blood-borne viruses. They will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, counsellors, and support staff to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical support and guidance for NCPPH staff and other healthcare workers in relation to the management of HIV, sexually transmitted infections, and blood-borne viruses.
  • Work collaboratively with the North Coast HIV & Sexual Health Services team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Provide clinical supervision for nursing staff and junior medical staff.

Requirements:

  • Be a registered medical practitioner with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Have a strong background in infectious diseases and public health medicine.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
