We are seeking a seasoned leader to drive our freight forwarding operations in VIC & SA. As General Manager, you will lead our biggest branch in the region and play a key role in our global business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Business Planning and Management: Set and lead branch vision and direction, implement policies and strategies to impact short-term results, and collaborate with team to create and articulate strategic market plans.
  • Financial Management: Accountable for financial performance, set volume and margin targets, review and monitor periodic reports and analytics, and oversee expense management.
  • Business Growth and Development: Possess a broad understanding of C.H. Robinson's products and services, leverage those to work with commercial teams to identify opportunities, drive sales growth, and establish new business models.
  • Talent Management: Manage the performance and development of direct and indirect reports, assess and manage talent, and oversee reward and recognition strategies.
  • General Management: Represent C.H. Robinson as a legal representative, partner with legal and local counsel to manage contracts and negotiations, and oversee workplace conduct, risk management, and compliance practices.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in leading business strategy, operations, and change management within a large organization.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 8 years of people management experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (domestically).
