We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our Engineering Team at the InterContinental Hayman Island Great Barrier Reef. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in one of the most breathtaking locations on earth.

Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the island's five-star luxury facilities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining all building structures, finishes, and carpentry-related services in the resort and staff village;
  • Assisting in general maintenance repairs, including basic carpentry, painting, tiling, plastering, and other tasks;
  • Participating in after-hours emergencies as required;
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the island's facilities.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification in Carpentry or extensive industry experience with a high attention to detail;
  • The ability to complete general maintenance repairs safely and efficiently;
  • A Queensland safety induction White Card and current valid drivers' license;
  • Fitness to be on your feet most of the day and perform physical tasks.
