Village Roadshow Ltd is seeking skilled tradespeople to join our rides team at Warner Bros. Movie World. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for routine safety checks, preventative maintenance, and overhauls of equipment and attractions.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will undertake park pre-opening safety checks, respond to breakdowns on various equipment, and partake in rebuilds and repairs within set timeframes. Additionally, they will stock control and deliveries, ensure the safety of themselves and others by adhering to OHS procedures, obtain equipment licenses, and complete daily tasks as instructed by the engineering supervisor.
Requirements:
A minimum Engineering Cert III Mechanical Trade - level certificate is required. Post-trade experience is desirable, as well as experience in breakdown maintenance and diagnostics, reading hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, welding and fabrication skills, and forklift license and EWP ticket benefits. Physical fitness to enable climbing of ladders and stairs and working at heights up to 60m is also essential. The ability to work autonomously without constant supervision and experience with Maintenance systems such as SAP or Maximo are highly regarded.
