Achieve Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Control Officer to join our team in Brisbane.
About the Role
- Monitor and analyze project cost performance, tracking expenditures and forecasting future costs to support budget management and financial planning.
- Provide guidance and support to junior project controls staff, promoting their professional development and ensuring consistency and accuracy in project controls practices.
- Identify potential risks and delays, and propose mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
- Conduct quantity surveys to audit project progress.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather relevant data and inputs for project controls activities.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on project performance, providing insights and recommendations to project teams and clients.
About You
- Degree in engineering, data management/analytics, project management, business administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in a similar position within project controls, preferably in the mining & minerals industry or related sectors.
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Excel, Oracle, EcoSys, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
- Advanced data analysis and reporting skills, with expertise in applications such as Power Pivot and Power BI.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide team members toward common goals.
- Knowledge of mining industry regulations, standards, and best practices is desirable.
- Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) are a plus.
Requirements
- Frequent travel to Rockhampton/Mackay is required.
