The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating with other engineering teams to build great solutions that suit everyone's needs, ideally within a platform team. They should also have a strong understanding of first party and third party libraries in a large scale organisation with numerous consumers and how usage contributes towards the health, maintenance and performance of a product.

The Frontend Core Libraries team is dedicated to empowering Canva's 600+ frontend developers by maintaining and enhancing our essential libraries like React and MobX. Our mission is to ensure that these powerful tools are utilized to their fullest potential, which sometimes involves delving deep into their internal source code to optimize performance and integrate new features seamlessly.

About the Role:

  • Lead a cross-functional team to evolve the frontend core libraries that underpin the frontend architecture and experience
