Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the migration of reporting assets from Teradata to Databricks within our data platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Migrate Cognos reporting assets to Databricks or similar cloud data platforms.
  • Provide query support in Cognos.
  • Work with IBM Cognos Analytics 11.2, including Framework Manager for building and maintaining packages, joins, relationships, and security filters.
  • Analyse, modify, and optimise SQL queries generated by Cognos.
  • Apply solid data modelling concepts (star/snowflake schemas) for consumption-layer design.
  • Troubleshoot and debug BI/reporting issues in Enterprise environments.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience with IBM Cognos Analytics 11.2 is mandatory.
  • Hands-on expertise with Framework Manager is essential.
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to analyse, modify, and optimise queries generated by Cognos are required.
  • Experience in report migration projects is desirable.
  • Ability to handle both scheduled reporting and ad-hoc query support in Cognos is necessary.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and consumption-layer design is crucial.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in BI/reporting environments are expected.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Familiarity with Databricks SQL and cloud-based data platforms is beneficial.
  • Exposure to ETL/data warehouse concepts and modern data pipelines is valuable.
  • Experience in performance tuning for large-scale enterprise reporting systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of BI governance and report lifecycle management is useful.
