The Role of a Financial Operations Specialist

About the Opportunity

This is an exceptional chance to support the finance team in a global IT consultancy headquartered in Melbourne.

You will play a key role assisting with financial operations across Australia, North America, Europe, and the UK.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing full-function Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including multi-entity invoice processing, vendor onboarding and engagement, reconciliations, and reporting across international jurisdictions and time zones
  • Group-wide timesheet management, including compliance monitoring and engagement with consultants and internal stakeholders
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations, accounting and reporting across multiple currencies and international accounts
  • Month-end close support: preparation of journals, accruals, prepayments, payroll validations, financial reporting, cost analysis, and cash flow forecasting
  • Supporting the business with accurate and timely project-level financial control, analysis, and reporting
  • Assisting with half-year and full-year external audits, and the preparation of statutory and ASX reporting deliverables, including compliance with international audit and financial reporting requirements
  • Contributing to internal control improvements, finance system enhancements, and group-wide process documentation and compliance
