Aircraft Maintenance Engineer | Airframe and Engine Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Richmond, NSW. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out inspection, testing, repair, modification, and installation of aircraft hydro-mechanical and flight system components, and aircraft engines subassemblies and components in a heavy maintenance environment.

About the Opportunity

Our team is responsible for maintaining the RAAF fleet of 12 CJ Hercules transport aircraft. We are looking for a skilled engineer who can work independently and as part of a team to achieve aircraft maintenance targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspection, testing, repair, modification, and installation of aircraft hydro-mechanical and flight system components, and aircraft engines subassemblies and components
  • Work within your competency and authorisation to contribute to the achievement of aircraft maintenance targets
  • May be assigned to a number of other maintenance projects undertaken by Airbus within the facility

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of aviation airworthiness regulatory knowledge and its applicability in the relevant environment. You will also need to have high-level communication skills, both verbal and written, and high-level computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements

  • Cert IV in Aeroskills or equivalent issued by a Registered Training Organisation
  • Ability to obtain a Military Aircraft Maintenance License (MAML)
  • High-Level aviation airworthiness regulatory knowledge and its applicability in the relevant environment
  • Understanding of relevant aircraft maintenance documentation and practices
  • Knowledge of and experience using Interactive Electronic Technical Publications
  • High-level communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High-level computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
