Commercial Law Clerk Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Commercial Law Clerk to join our dynamic team at AFL Recruitment. As a key member of our Commercial Law team, you will provide administrative support to our lawyers, assisting with commercial transactions and litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist lawyers with commercial transactions, including buying and selling businesses, corporate restructures, and joint ventures.
  • Support lawyers with commercial litigation, including debt recovery, insolvency, and general commercial contractual disputes.
  • Interact with clients, solicitors, barristers, and other external stakeholders to provide excellent customer service.
  • Undertake legal research, prepare letters and court documents, and prepare briefs to barristers.
  • Diary management, making appointments, and filing and administration tasks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6-12 months experience in commercial law or commercial litigation.
  • Ability to work full-time or minimum 4 days/week.
  • Proven ability to work in a busy and fast-paced environment.
  • High work ethic, deadline-oriented, and proactive.
  • Outstanding communication, time prioritization, and customer service skills.
