About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Legal Counsel to join our team at Westgold Resources Limited. As a key member of our corporate office in Perth, you will play a vital part in supporting our business objectives by providing strategic legal advice and counsel across a wide range of areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to various departments, including commercial, operations, exploration, human resources, native title and heritage, company secretarial and management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Support the integration process post-merger between Westgold Resources and Karora Resources.
Requirements
  • 2-6 years PAE, preferably with exposure to the mining or resources sector.
  • Bachelor of Laws and admitted as a Legal Practitioner with current unrestricted legal practising certificate in Western Australia.
  • Sound understanding of the principles of commercial, contract, and corporations law, preferably with some exposure to native title, heritage and mining law.
  • Excellent research, writing, drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
