About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Construction Engineer to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our Canberra office, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of civil projects across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all stages of civil projects, including contract management, development engineering, procurement, design, and project management.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project delivery meets agreed goals and objectives.
Prepare and manage project reports, site meeting records, observations, and proceedings to ensure accurate documentation and communication.
Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, risk assessments, and contingency allowances to support project planning and execution.
Participate in tender evaluation teams and assist in the development of procurement documents.
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, including design and project coordination.
Undertake technical tender assessments and provide recommendations for project delivery.
Support project delivery by ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus on Civil Engineering.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in the engineering, construction, or professional services industry.
Relevant knowledge of Australian standards and legislation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
Self-motivated and self-directed with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
