Role Overview

A Junior Designer is required to generate planning and design ideas, conduct research, document precedents and scale studies, develop diagrams, render site plans, and contribute to graphic and visual production.

The ideal candidate will have a professional degree in architecture, planning, urban design, or landscape architecture, and LEED accreditation is preferred. They should also exhibit initiative, process innovation, problem-solving, and decision-making quality with a high attention to detail, precision, and accuracy at a task-specific level.

  • Develops innovative solutions for complex projects by applying strong conceptual design abilities and integrating interdisciplinary criteria.
  • Effectively communicates project requirements through timely and appropriate written, oral, and visual means.
  • Actively participates as a junior member of the City Design Practice team.
Required Skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, parametric, and rendering software.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of large-scale planning, mixed-use development, and transit-oriented development concepts.
  • Ability to enrich design concepts through knowledge, research, and proficient application of technical and visualization skills.
