You'll have the chance to make a tangible difference in customers' lives by leading and supporting case managers who assess long-term, Death and Terminal Illness claims.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting case managers to ensure high-quality claims assessments.
  • Owning a small portfolio of complex claims across Income Protection, Death and Terminal Illness.
  • Sharing knowledge, coaching best practices, and role-modeling our claims philosophy.
  • Maintaining quality standards, including reporting and remediation where needed.
  • Improving processes, reviewing procedures, contributing to key projects, and finding efficiencies.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Solid end-to-end experience in retail life claims, with strong policy interpretation across different cover types.
  • Strong understanding of LICOP (Life Insurance Code of Practice).
  • Broad knowledge of medical, financial, legal, product, and regulatory aspects of life insurance.
  • Clear grasp of the legal framework for insurance contracts and confidentiality requirements.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lift team capability.
  • Customer focus, excellent communication skills, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certificate IV in Life Insurance (preferred).
