Job Title: Leisure Development Officer

The role involves working on a casual basis to provide relief support to the team in Southern Victoria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement leisure programs to help clients develop their daily living skills and encourage independence.
  • PARTICIPATE IN REGULAR MEETINGS WITH CASE MANAGEMENT STAFF TO DISCUSS CLIENT PROGRESS.
  • Encourage clients to maintain community connections and relationships.
  • Promote recreational opportunities available within the broader community.
  • Organise activities that promote access to local venues, events, and recreational opportunities.
  • Keep accurate records of the range of activities and client participation.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in Leisure and Lifestyle is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with individuals who are at risk or experiencing homelessness would be beneficial.
  • A current drivers' licence (mandatory) is required.
  • A reliable vehicle for work purposes is necessary.
  • An understanding of complex client needs and challenging behaviours is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds are crucial.
  • A First Aid Certificate would be an advantage.
