Role Summary:

We are seeking an Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Springfield Lakes Outside School Hours Care (OSHC).

This is a permanent, part-time position with 34.5 hours of work per week during school term and up to 38 hours during vacation care time.

About the Role

As an Assistant Coordinator, you will assist the Service Coordinator in managing the day-to-day operations of the service and supporting staff management.

Key responsibilities include developing quality programs, managing daily program operations, ensuring compliance with policy, and undertaking administrative tasks.

Additionally, you will work collaboratively with families and the school community to provide exceptional childcare services.

Requirements

  • Completed or actively studying relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Diploma in Children Services)
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
  • Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain
