Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Technology Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and innovative solutions for our platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and maintain target state architecture and roadmaps for our platform.
  • Lead solution design across payment processing, tokenisation, and digital wallets.
  • Provide technical leadership for digital transformation initiatives using cloud-native technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit requirements and guide platform evolution.
  • Evaluate and integrate vendor solutions, ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Architect solutions using event-driven architecture, microservices, and containerisation.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and security are met.
  • Mentor junior architects and contribute to architectural governance.

As a successful candidate you will bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in technology architecture within payments and banking domains.
  • Proven expertise with similar platforms.
  • Deep understanding of relevant protocols and messaging systems.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, Web Services, and message queues.
  • Familiarity with major card schemes and eCommerce gateways.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience across both issuing and acquiring landscapes.
