Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced leader to join our team as a Regional Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leadership, safety, profitability, and growth in the logistics industry.

This role involves full P&L ownership, contract management, people leadership, operational excellence, and customer relations. The successful candidate will be able to articulate complex ideas and build strong relationships with internal and external customers within a complex matrix environment.

The Regional Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring resources (people, systems, financial) and assets are available to meet the region's business plan
  • Establishing and managing profitability and performance standards against contractual obligations and P&L
  • Demonstrating innovation and leading change across operations through strong leadership and accountability
  • Building strong relationships with customers and identifying opportunities to grow the business through a sustainable and integrated business model
  • Providing strong leadership and creating a positive workplace culture through collaboration and influencing the mindset of employees to improve overall capability
  • Consistently driving safety initiatives and ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory frameworks
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and fatigue management as it pertains to the transport industry
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent understanding of customer needs
  • Excellent knowledge of personnel and operational requirements relating to training and compliance
  • Strong incident management/investigation skills and ability to determine root cause and implement corrective actions
  • Ability to consider a broad range of internal and external factors when solving problems and making decisions
  • Strong analytical skills and superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaborative nature and ability to seek opportunities to improve overall business results
