About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Diagnostic Specialist who can perform manual and automated diagnostic testing with expertise in Haematology, Biochemistry, Transfusion and Stat-Microbiology. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing routine procedures from specimen reception to result execution for pathological diagnosis, including specimen dissection.
- Assisting with stock control and maintaining equipment in line with protocols.
- Recording results accurately and maintaining records in compliance with protocols.
- Maintaining current scientific knowledge and participating in Quality Assurance activities.
- Contributing to continuous improvement and developing new assays as required.
- Participating in training staff and liaising with stakeholders regarding test results or referrals.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent qualification.
- Experience, knowledge, and skills in Haematology, Biochemistry, Transfusion, and Stat-Microbiology.
- Sound knowledge of QC, QAP, and troubleshooting.
- Able to identify, develop, and implement quality and service improvement activities.
- Perform duties independently with infrequent supervision.
