Project Operations Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to lead the delivery of complex project cargo movements across Australia.

This national role oversees field execution, team performance, and end-to-end operational planning for high-profile movements in the energy, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading safe, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of project logistics operations, including OOG, heavy-lift, and multimodal cargo.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and mentor operational staff across multiple sites
  • Plan and allocate field and subcontractor resources for port/site execution
  • Act as the primary escalation point for operational risks, safety issues, and service delays
  • Collaborate with commercial and BD teams on solution design, feasibility, and methodology planning

In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
  • Solid experience in project logistics execution, including port/site operations
  • Experience managing field or operational teams
  • Strong understanding of heavy-lift, OOG, and multimodal cargo handling
  • Sound working knowledge of WHS, CoR, and relevant Australian logistics regulations
