About the Role
">We are seeking a skilled Senior Cost Controller to join our Engineering & Construction division in Perth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely project cost management services.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Develop comprehensive project budgets and estimates aligned with project scope and work breakdown structures.
- Prepare project forecasts and estimate-to-complete reports to ensure timely delivery.
- Evaluate earned value analysis, cost reporting, and cost performance metrics to inform project decisions.
- Analyze variances, identify trends, risks, and opportunities to optimize project outcomes.
- Provide critical project cost performance data and participate in review sessions with the Commercial Manager and Project Manager.
- Assess variations and claims, and implement effective cost change management strategies.
- Leverage your expertise in project accounting to lead month-end activities, including accruals, provisions, allocations, and cost transfers.
- Serve as a liaison between the Project team and the Commercial team in Perth.
- Deliver high-quality monthly management reports to senior management.
About You
">To succeed in this role, you will need:
">- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, commerce, or a related field.
- The ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and prioritize tasks autonomously.
- Proven experience in project accounting and cost control.
- Prior on-site experience in the resources sector is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
