Early Years Occupational Therapist Position

About the RoleThis exciting opportunity will see you working collaboratively with our diverse team of Allied Health professionals, Social Workers, and Inclusive Education specialists. As an experienced Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for:
- Providing tailored support to families, empowering them to achieve their goals through evidence-informed best practice.
- Utilizing assessments, observations, and your deep understanding of child development to create personalized support options that cater to each child and family's unique needs.
- Cultivating strong relationships with families, caregivers, and professionals, equipping them with coaching skills to support children in everyday life.
- Fostering connections between children, families, and their community, ensuring they are included and can participate in settings and activities they choose.
- Maintaining thorough records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals within the NDIA business system.
- Guiding families through the application, implementation, and funding processes of NDIS plans.
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- A degree qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Expert knowledge in child development and early intervention, including the ability to identify developmental issues.
- A proven track record of building relationships and supporting families and children with developmental delays/disabilities, implementing effective strategies for families to practice at home and other settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and early childhood intervention best practice principles and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
