The Security Officer role is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and customer-focused team. The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a range of positions, including Control Room Operators, Asset Protection Officers, Static Guards, and Functions & Events Security Officers.

Job Description:

As a Security Officer, your primary responsibility will be to protect people, property, and collections. This may involve monitoring CCTV, alarms, and access control systems, conducting regular patrols of facilities, managing access and egress points, and responding quickly and professionally to incidents and emergencies.

You will also be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and visitor support, as well as assisting with crowd management during events and functions.

In addition, you will need to maintain situational awareness of the entire site and coordinate emergency responses in collaboration with Site management and external emergency response teams.

The Security Officer role requires strong communication and observation skills, as well as flexibility to work in static positions when required.

Shifts include weekdays, weekends, after-hours functions, and public holidays.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • • Current ACT Security Licence
  • • NV1 - Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance Mandatory for Control Room Operator roles (willing to obtain)
  • • Baseline Clearance (willing to obtain) – Preferred for Asset Protection and Static roles
  • • Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011, HLTAID009)
  • • Current Working with Children Check
  • • Current RSA Certificate (for occasional functions & events on site)
  • • Excellent communication and observation skills
  • • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and evenings
