Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Service Technician to join our team in Newcastle.

A strong background in Fitting/Mechanical Trades and/or Hydraulics is essential for this role.

Pirtek provides full product and job training, so experience is not necessary, but a willingness to learn is key.

  • Deliver consistent, accurate, high-quality field service and repair of plant and machinery to customers.
  • Provide solutions and build relationships with varying range of customers.

This is a hands-on role with travel to sites within Newcastle and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will reside near Newcastle and be available for overtime and 24-hour on-call roster.

We provide a vehicle for the Service and Supply Centre located in Newcastle.

To be considered, you will ideally have:

  • A trade or field services experience in fitting/mechanical background and/or hydraulics.
  • The ability to operate machinery, use tools and measuring devices accurately.
  • Good numeracy, verbal and written skills.
  • A strong work ethic and pride in workmanship.
  • The desire to be a team player.
  • The ability to prioritise to meet deadlines and problem solve.
  • An understanding of OHS and safe work practices.
  • A current manual driver's licence (and willing to obtain an LR Licence).
  • Flexibility with working hours as after-hours availability is a prerequisite.
  • Currently living in/near or willing to relocate to Newcastle.
