About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate In-Home Care Specialist to join our team at Uniting. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of care for our elderly clients, empowering them to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assistance with Daily Tasks: Provide support with housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation to ensure our clients' basic needs are met.
  • Transportation Services: Escort clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Personal Care Support: Assist with personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, meal assistance, and medication administration, ensuring our clients' dignity and comfort are maintained.
  • Enhancing Quality of Life: Transport clients to appointments and accompany them to shopping or Uniting Healthy Living for Seniors programs, fostering social connections and community engagement.
What We're Looking For

We seek a candidate with:

  • Previous Experience: Aged or community care experience preferred, or a strong desire to begin a career in aged care.
  • Compassionate Nature: Empathetic and resourceful, embodying Uniting's values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
  • Flexibility: Ability to accommodate evolving client needs and schedules.
  • Valid Licenses: Provisional or full Australian driving license and access to a comprehensively insured, reliable vehicle.
  • Certification: Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Salary and Benefits

This rewarding role offers a salary range of $28.94 - $34.76 per hour, plus 99c per km, paid travel time, and reimbursement for kilometres travelled.
