Project Manager Position

We are seeking a seasoned project manager to lead our projects globally across various sectors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing medium-large scale mining & minerals projects both locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Ensure the management and technical competence of the project team meets client and regulatory requirements.
  • Safety and Quality: Oversee all project activities ensuring they are conducted with high priority on safety, environment, community and industrial relations.
  • Procedure Development: Develop and maintain project specific procedures, work practices, plans and protocols to enable efficient project delivery.
  • Project Control: Manage timeliness and accuracy of project control (reporting, costs, schedule, trends and change management) in accordance with contract and in-house procedures.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain productive client relationships.
Requirements:
  • A university degree in Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
  • 15+ years post graduate experience in Mineral Processing or related industries, ideally with strong experience in EPCM environment.
  • Experience delivering mining projects locally and internationally is critical.
  • Ability to travel internationally or locally for project work as required.
  • A strong technical background with broad multi-disciplinary base is essential.
  • A thorough understanding and awareness of project implementation, constructability, OH&S, environmental, community and industrial relations issues is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct and influence multi-disciplinary teams, consultants and contractors to deliver critical project objectives.
  • Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.
  • An intuitive leader with ability to initiate, lead and manage change in complex environment is necessary.
