About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Engineer to join our expanding team at First Focus. As a key member of our Telecommunications team, you will be responsible for delivering projects for new telecommunications systems, supporting existing implementations, and working with our account managers on scoping new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement technical project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Telecommunications System Configuration: Configure and deploy multiple telecommunications systems, including Zoom Phone, Microsoft Teams Calling, and MiVoice Business.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex unified communications problems, utilizing advanced skills in UC technology.
  • Collaboration and Training: Work alongside Technical Account Managers to scope telecommunications projects and train junior staff to upskill.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Maintain knowledge of new telecommunications technologies and advancements in the Telecommunications space.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Telecommunications Engineer, with a strong background in managing and maintaining Telecommunications environments.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrable expertise in Zoom Phone, Microsoft Teams Calling, or Mitel, with experience in Virtualization platforms (Hyper-V) and network switching, routing, and Firewalling.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Team Player: Willingness to assist the team with escalations and training, and a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
