About the Role

The Quality Officer is responsible for ensuring the University's Quality Framework is administered effectively. This includes conducting internal and external quality audits and reviews to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will:

  • Provide expert advice to staff on the University's Quality Framework and its application in practice.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to vocational education and tertiary quality regulatory and compliance requirements, and ensure the University's practices align with these changes.
  • Coordinate and administer processes to meet regulatory quality requirements, ensuring the University's reputation for excellence is maintained.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff understanding of the University's Quality Framework.
  • Maintain current knowledge of vocational, tertiary, and international quality regulatory and compliance requirements, including legislation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A deep understanding of quality management and quality assurance theory and practice, particularly in tertiary education.
  • The ability to develop an understanding of legislation, government policy, and compliance issues relevant to a multi-sector university.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct research, interpret, and understand International, Higher Education, and VET regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in interpreting policies, procedures, and regulations and providing advice to stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
