The Maintenance Services Assistant will implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate an efficient preventative maintenance program for buildings, equipment, and grounds at the residential aged care home.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure all buildings and public areas are maintained to a safe and high-quality standard.
- Perform general maintenance tasks ensuring facilities are safe, up-to-date, and in good working order.
- Conduct garden maintenance tasks to ensure garden beds, pathways, and outdoor seating areas are safe, clean, and free from debris.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance programs.
- Ensure stock items are available for regular corrective maintenance and gardening tasks.
- Assist with maintaining an accurate asset register.
- Contribute to refurbishment planning, equipment replacement, and capital works.
- Identify preventative maintenance requirements and document a schedule.
- Oversee external contract agreements as required.
Key Requirements:
- Essential:
- General maintenance and gardening skills.
- Current Driver's License.
- National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
Desirable:
- Knowledge or experience in establishing maintenance programs.
- Experience in maintenance and horticulture management.
- Accredited trade certificate relevant to the position.
