Job Summary

Mary Mackillop Place is seeking an experienced HR/Payroll Specialist to manage our fortnightly payroll function and provide HR support.

About the Role

This part-time position is pivotal in ensuring seamless employee experience through knowledgeable payroll and HR support. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end payroll support, including payments to salaried, hourly rate and casual employees; managing timesheets and leave requests for rostered employees; processing new starters, employee changes and employee exits; calculating and managing legislative payments and changes, including Superannuation and Tax; reporting and ensuring internal procedures and records are accurate and maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process fortnightly pay runs under the Hospitality Award, using systems such as Deputy and MYOB
  2. Manage employee data, including timesheets, leave requests and personnel files
  3. Provide expert advice and guidance on payroll and HR matters to management
  4. Collaborate with the GM and Finance Officer to ensure payroll and HR processes are efficient and compliant
Requirements
  1. At least 4 years' experience in payroll processing
  2. Experience using Deputy and MYOB
  3. Strong communication skills at all levels
  4. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
