The Loss Prevention Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining the security of district stores, acting as a visual deterrent to criminal activity and promoting compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Deter theft and fraud by completing high profiling activities and offering exceptional customer service
- Ensure all physical security systems are operational and functioning correctly, including CCTV, alarms, monitors, tethers, security tags, detachers, locks, safes, punch code locks, and keys
- Manage customer access to tethered items and products in cabinets, as well as alarm codes for the store
- Respond to EAS gate activations and incidents, gathering preliminary evidence and referring serious incidents to the Loss Prevention Manager
- Identify and rectify non-compliance with the merchandise protection guide, review EAS to CCTV reporting, and notify the Loss Prevention Manager of known thefts
- Conduct random SOH checks to test inventory accuracy, bag checks on customers and associates, locker checks, and delivery checks to ensure accurate inventory levels
The ideal candidate will possess a current Security Industry Employee Licence, a valid driver's license, and at least 3 years of Loss Prevention experience. They will also have strong conflict resolution skills, the ability to influence others, and be results-driven.
