Lead Social Services Coordinator

The role of a Lead Social Services Coordinator involves providing culturally safe and responsive support to individuals and families.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering trauma-informed services, working holistically with clients, and addressing complex social and emotional wellbeing needs.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement culturally safe and effective social service programs that meet the needs of clients.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic client care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive case plans that address the unique needs of each client.

Selection Criteria:
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work or related field
  • Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and the impact of colonisation on health and wellbeing
  • Proven ability to work effectively with Aboriginal staff and community members
  • Strong skills in psychosocial assessment, case management, and intervention planning
  • Ability to apply trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches to complex social and emotional wellbeing needs
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policy frameworks
