Job Title: Tyre Technician Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Tyre Technician to lead our team and provide continuous service on site by supporting the operations of the workshop, office, stock and personnel.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in tyre fitting and experience in leading small to medium-sized teams in a mining environment. They will be responsible for prioritising and directing personnel to perform tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks in the most efficient, safe and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritise and direct personnel to perform tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks in an efficient, safe and cost-effective manner
  • Maintain a safe and efficient workforce by providing constructive and positive feedback as well as initiatives for increased safety and performance
  • Demonstrate a high level of supervision to ensure all safety systems are present
  • Lead by example to ensure all personnel comply with site and company policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Actively promote a safety culture across site operations that targets zero harm to personnel and the environment

Requirements:

  • Preferably a minimum of 2 years of Earthmover tyre fitting experience on mine sites
  • A Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy; AUR21916/ AUR21920
  • A valid HR Driving licence
  • Statutory 26 (would be advantageous)
  • Possess a high level of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
  • An understanding that safety is paramount, with a high attention to detail to abide by site safety procedures
  • Ability to work autonomously
