Position Overview
As a vital member of our team, the Relief MPU Operator will report directly to the Area Operations Supervisor. This role is essential for the safe and efficient operation of an Open Cut Mobile Production Unit (MPU), ensuring the delivery of high-quality products for blasting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the MPU safely and efficiently to manufacture explosives.
- Deliver emulsion-based explosives in accordance with site-specific service agreements.
- Perform basic maintenance on all equipment utilized on-site.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately and timely.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess operational experience as a qualified MPU Operator or equivalent experience in equipment operation on an active blast bench. Essential qualifications include:
- A commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and high-performance work culture.
- A valid Qld HR Driver's License (Open or B Condition).
- Standard 11/Qld Security Clearance Card/Forklift (HRWL) Licence (desirable).
- RII Qualification in Mobile Mixing Explosives.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude towards teamwork across various sites.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn and utilize site-specific software.
