Product Development Leadership Opportunity

McCain Foods is seeking an exceptional leader to drive the development of innovative products that meet consumer needs.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in product development, with experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal stakeholders. They will be responsible for executing multiple product innovation and renovation projects from concept and recipe development to trial and factory validation and commercial production.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with peers across Marketing, Technical Services, Quality, Manufacturing, and Project Leads.

They will also have a proven track record of fostering a culture of continuous improvement and driving innovation through proactive concept development.

This role requires a bachelor's or master's degree in Food Science or a related field, paired with strong ingredient knowledge in area of batter and coatings technology for different reconstitution methods.

The selected individual will join our Global Research and Development team, where they will contribute to developing new concepts into successful market product propositions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead product development teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve product innovation and renovation execution excellence.
  • Foster collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams to drive innovation and product development.
  • Build relationships with key supply partners to stay abreast of latest ingredient science and technology.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science or related field.
  • Strong background in product development, including experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record of fostering a culture of continuous improvement and driving innovation through proactive concept development.
  • Ability to interpret FSANZ standards and internal policies, and incorporate them into product design.
  • Knowledge of food safety and HACCP processes.
