Paint Prepper Role Overview

The Paint Prepper is a key role within our vehicle preparation process. This individual will work closely with the paint team to ensure vehicles are prepared for painting, assisting in pre-paint blending needs and helping to keep vehicles on track for scheduled delivery times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in pre-paint blending processes to achieve flawless finishes.
  • Collaborate with the paint team to maintain efficient workflows and meet delivery deadlines.
  • Fill small dents or scratches with body fillers and smooth surfaces to prepare vehicles for painting.
  • Buff and wax finished paintwork to a high standard.
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Detail vehicles ready for delivery to customers, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the vehicle paint process is essential.
  • Able to receive directions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including hot, cold, wet, or humid conditions.
  • Physically able to lift items up to 25kg.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a collision/body repair shop is highly desirable.
