The OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to provide specialist support to our NSW teams in implementing national and local environmental programs and risk management strategies. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to minimize environmental impact;
- Supporting business operations with external and internal audits;
- Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement intervention initiatives;
- Assisting with environmental applications and approvals;
- Investigating significant environmental incidents;
- Analyzing data to inform performance improvement.
We are looking for a detail-driven professional with excellent communication skills who can work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates will possess:
- A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent;
- Experience in resource recovery, reuse, and waste management;
- Incident investigation and root cause analysis experience (accredited ICAM facilitator preferred);
- Prior experience in progressing environmental initiatives and programs;
- Working knowledge of NSW environmental legislation;
- Excellent written communication and report writing skills.
