The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to provide specialist support to our NSW teams in implementing national and local environmental programs and risk management strategies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to minimize environmental impact;
  • Supporting business operations with external and internal audits;
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement intervention initiatives;
  • Assisting with environmental applications and approvals;
  • Investigating significant environmental incidents;
  • Analyzing data to inform performance improvement.
About You

We are looking for a detail-driven professional with excellent communication skills who can work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent;
  • Experience in resource recovery, reuse, and waste management;
  • Incident investigation and root cause analysis experience (accredited ICAM facilitator preferred);
  • Prior experience in progressing environmental initiatives and programs;
  • Working knowledge of NSW environmental legislation;
  • Excellent written communication and report writing skills.
