Vehicle Maintenance Attendant Position Overview

The Lot Attendant/Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the new- and used-vehicle lots are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspecting vehicles for damage and verifying the presence of accessories listed on the invoice
  • Cataloging and storing keys
  • Moving sold vehicles to maximize use of space and keep the lot organized
  • Delivering sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning driveways and sidewalks
Requirements:
  • No prior experience or training required
  • Able to read and comprehend simple instructions and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
  • Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
