Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Train Controller. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of train services, coordinating daily train operations and managing service disruptions in real-time.

The ideal candidate will have experience in rail operations, signalling, or transport logistics, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment, making quick and accurate decisions under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Daily Train Operations: Implement and adjust the daily train plan in response to operational changes, communicating service alterations to train operators and stakeholders.
  • Manage Service Disruptions: Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, adapting to new technologies and evolving procedures.
  • Record and Report Performance Data: Use operational systems to record and report accurate performance data.
  • Support Emergency Response: Manage track occupations and access in line with policy and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years in rail operations, signalling, or transport logistics.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and reasoning skills.
  • Certifications: Certificate IV in Network Control or relevant Rail Signalling qualifications (desired).
