Space Trajectory Analyst

About the Role:

This position focuses on developing and executing analysis strategies to optimize launch vehicle performance. It involves analyzing complex data sets, generating innovative flight plan solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth trajectory analysis of launch vehicles under various fault conditions
  • Design and execute creative flight plans to meet mission objectives while ensuring safe vehicle operation
  • Produce high-quality trajectory analysis reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Interface with operations teams, reliability teams, hardware teams, and regulatory partners to ensure seamless communication
  • Develop and evaluate mission rules for flight termination systems

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in physics or an engineering discipline; experience in orbital mechanics, classical dynamics, modeling, and simulation using Python or C++; 1+ year of professional experience in trajectory analysis and aerodynamics;

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated project or professional experience in launch vehicle and/or spacecraft systems
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
