Strategic Bids Manager

The Strategic Bids Manager plays a pivotal role in Origin Zero's mission to lead the transition to net zero by partnering with business customers to achieve their sustainable energy goals.

  • Design and implement a seamless end-to-end strategic sales process that delivers high-quality, innovative solution-focused bids to existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop and manage sales pipelines through the enablement of the bid response process.
  • Align solutions to meet customer requirements while ensuring margin and volume targets are met.
  • Respond to all bids in a timely manner, including managing the bid team to meet key submission dates.
  • Identify compliance and execution risk through bid response.
  • Maintain and update the bid knowledge database to ensure content is fit for purpose.
  • Craft exceptional end-to-end bid responses by integrating and synthesising information gathered from various organisational sources.
  • Guarantee that all bid specifications are responded to and execute thorough quality assurance procedures for the submission of bid documentation.
Requirements
  • Experience in bid response or technical selling.
  • Thorough understanding of the procurement process.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesise complex information to create a compelling narrative.
  • Exemplary technical skills and strong business/commercial acumen.
  • Understanding of financial principles, including profit and loss statements, return on investment, and net present value, to explain how solutions can add value to the customer's business.
  • Professional Services, Consulting, or Engineering background is highly regarded.
  • Bid writing/management experience in the energy market is highly valued.
