The University seeks a senior leader to spearhead the College of Business and Economics.

This role plays a pivotal part in realising the University's vision for a place-based institution that enhances intellectual, economic, social, and cultural development.

As a strategic thinker, you will contribute to expanding Tasmania's capacity for sustainable economic growth by driving regional distinctiveness. The College sits at the heart of this agenda, crucial to shaping the island's future.

We are looking for someone who shares our vision for change and can lead the University in rebuilding its international student profile and ensuring it remains highly attractive in a competitive national environment.

The mission-critical role requires an aspirational vision, insightful academic leadership, and strategic direction for the College. You will nurture career development in your colleagues, ensuring a collegial working environment that enables high performance and care for people.

You will actively maintain and strengthen a positive culture marked by collaboration and productivity, relevant to local industries and communities, and support the University's goals of delivering place-based education and research with high impact for Tasmania.

About Us

Our story began over 130 years ago, with three lecturers teaching eleven students in a sandstone building overlooking Hobart. Through academic excellence, we strive to make our home and the world a better place.

We acknowledge the traditional owners and their deep history with these lands and waters, and their enduring culture whose system of knowledge is structured by place.
