About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our team at Emmbr, a leading Australian business that works with the best of technology. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing best practice secure cloud environments and ensuring the security of our Azure tenancies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the Azure tenancies to design and implement best practice secure cloud environments and keep an eye on any security incidents in collaboration with the external SOC.
  • Drive security assessments and lead the conversation about cloud security when collaborating with other technical teams such as infrastructure/DevOps but also external vendors.
  • Implement strong controls and assure documentation and policy requirements are met.
  • Get hands-on from day one.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with strong cloud engineering and security experience in Azure, who has worked in a complex and fast-moving environment to be proficient across cloud security best practice. Ideally, you have worked in a financial services business, but this is not a must.

  • You are familiar with CSPM, RBAC, and MFA and have a strong understanding of security compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, etc.).
  • You have closely collaborated with other teams such as DevOps, Infrastructure, and the business.
  • You have strong working experience in security automation, scripting, and how to design and implement best practice.
