Job Title: Occupational Therapist

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in an outpatient service based at Gosford Hospital, delivering expert, evidence-based occupational therapy to individuals experiencing mental health crises.

You will provide timely and person-centred interventions that promote recovery and wellbeing. Your clinical expertise will be highly valued as you engage with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of holistic, integrated, and high-quality care.

A key leadership role within the team involves offering clinical supervision, guidance, and mentorship to junior staff, supporting their ongoing professional development.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will also lead and contribute to quality improvement projects and research initiatives.

This position is based at Gosford Hospital working Monday to Friday 08:30am to 5:00pm.

About You
  • Hold a Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy and registration as an OT with a high level of broad generalist and/or specialist knowledge within OT.
  • Be passionate about delivering person-centred, evidence-based care to individuals in crisis.
  • Have an unencumbered driver's license and ability to travel across the District and to other external sites as required.
  • Confidently manage complex cases using advanced clinical reasoning and independent judgment.
  • Commit to continuous improvement through quality initiatives and research involvement.
