Data Analytics Graduate Opportunity

Are you a data enthusiast looking to make a meaningful impact in a thriving community? We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analytics Graduate to join our Information Management team.

This is your chance to contribute to creating a better future through data-informed insights that drive strategic initiatives and community outcomes.

  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to deliver tailored analytics solutions that inform decision-making.
  • Create dynamic dashboards and reports using Power BI, making complex data easy to understand and act on.
  • Develop modern data warehousing architectures and ensure data quality and accessibility for Council teams.
  • Champion data governance and help others build their data literacy skills.

We're looking for someone who's eager to learn, grow, and contribute, even if they haven't had formal work experience yet.

You'll be at the heart of transforming data into meaningful insights that help shape our community's future. Your day-to-day will include partnering with stakeholders, creating dynamic dashboards, working in a modern technical environment, handling diverse data sources, ensuring data quality, championing data governance, maintaining and evolving our analytics environment, and contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace.

About You:

  • Nearly completing or have recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with data visualization and analytics tools, strong problem-solving and communication skills, a collaborative mindset and intellectual curiosity, an interest in public service and making a difference through data, and a commitment to our values: Respect, Integrity, OneTeam, Sustainability, Courage.
