Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and innovative data analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analysis, visualisation, and reporting.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to creating an extraordinary community through data-informed insights that support strategic initiatives and community outcomes.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the council to deliver meaningful insights and drive informed decision-making.

Main Responsibilities
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand their goals and deliver tailored analytics solutions.
  • Create dynamic dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI.
  • Work in a modern technical environment in Microsoft Azure to extract, transform, and load data.
  • Handle diverse data sources and develop modern data warehousing architectures.
  • Ensure data quality and accessibility for Council teams.
  • Maintain and evolve our analytics environment, keeping documentation up to date.
Requirements
  • Nearly completed or recently completed a degree in Information or Communication Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with data visualisation and analytics tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and intellectual curiosity.
  • An interest in public service and making a difference through data.
