Key Leadership Role

This full-time position is available in the Melbourne Drug Court.

The Supervisor forms part of the management team overseeing the operation of Community Corrections Services (CCS) within the Drug Court of Victoria and the Court Services Unit. The Supervisor has direct leadership and management responsibility for a team of CCS staff comprising Drug Court Case Managers and Court and Prosecution Services (CAPs) staff.

The Supervisor works closely with other Supervisors, Drug Court and Court Practice, CCS Managers, Drug Court staff, Court Services Victoria, and other stakeholders to develop, implement, maintain, and support CCS functions within the specialist Drug Court and CCS Court Services.

The role supervises CAPS Officers and Drug Court Case Managers who deliver services to the Melbourne Magistrates' Court. As the Supervisor, you will work alongside a leadership team to monitor best practice Court Practices and Case Management and implement operational changes where required.

Your technical knowledge of Case Management Practice will be essential to undertaking this role.

The Supervisor will be required to act as Officer in Charge as directed. Flexible working hours or shift work may be required, including weekends and public holidays, and attendance at call outs as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Implement evidence-based strategies to minimize risk and optimize individual outcomes.
  • Lead and foster a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering operational services.
  • Nurture and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

A relevant qualification in social work, human services, or criminal justice, along with experience in a related field, is desirable.
