About the Role

Gulaay Ltd is looking for an experienced director to lead the organisation through its critical early stages. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Aboriginal economic empowerment, social enterprise development, and community impact. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, develop partnerships, and help secure funding to transition Gulaay Ltd into a fully operational organisation.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership & Vision:
    • Guide Gulaay Ltd's growth and ensure alignment with its mission and values.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans for sustainability and expansion.
    • Support the development of policies, procedures, and financial planning frameworks.
  • Business Development & Funding:
    • Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.
    • Explore social enterprise models to generate revenue and long-term sustainability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build strong relationships with the local Aboriginal community, government agencies, corporate partners, and community organisations.
    • Represent Gulaay Ltd at meetings, forums, and events to promote its mission and secure support.
  • Operational Oversight:
    • Support recruitment and coordination of volunteers and future staff.
